1974-1975

The DC-9 Series had various different versions, some of them beeing customer specific versions. Swissair ordered a DC-9 tailored to their needs called the DC-9-51. Until delivery of these aircraft, Swissair leased four DC-9-41 from SAS. Similiar to the -51, the -41 was a customer specific version built only for the scandinavian airline. The -41 was 2 meters longer than the -32 and 2.5 meters shorter than the -51.

HB-IDW	McDonnellDouglas DC-9-41 # 47115 / 261	01.10.1974 03.10.1975	Delivered new to SAS as OY-KGA. Leased by Swissair as HB-IDW from 1974-1975, then returned to SAS. Sold to Northwest in 1991, still flying there as N751NW
HB-IDX	McDonnellDouglas DC-9-41 # 47117 / 319	30.10.1974 09.10.1975	Delivered new to SAS as SE-DBW. Leased by Swissair as HB-IDX from 1974-1975, then returned to SAS. Sold to Northwest in 1991, still flying there as N753NW
HB-IDY	McDonnellDouglas DC-9-41 # 47395 / 555	21.11.1974 26.09.1975	Delivered new to SAS as OY-KGG. Leased by Thai as HS-TGN and Swissair as HB-IDY from 1974-1975, then returned to SAS. Sold to Northwest in 1991, still flying there as N762NW
