The AC-4, designed in 1930 by Alfred Comte, is the first aircraft that has been build commercially in Switzerland. Later an advanced Version AC-8 was built, but never bought by swissair. Comte had limited success with other airlines as well, but did not exist very long. Swissair operated one example of the AC-4 Gentleman, mainly operating the Zurich-Lucerne Route.

Comte AC-4 Gentleman

Taken over from Ad Astra, and only one of its kind in the Swissair fleet. In 1933 a better engine was built in, and in 1934 the tail-number was changed to HB-IKO. It was sold to a private owner in november 1947. Later the Aircraft went to Germany, where it flew as D-ELIS. It was bought back by the Swissait Fokker Team in 1979. It was restored and registered HB-IKO again. The plane is now on display in the SR Technics Hangar in Zurich, Switzerland.
