The SAirServices Group offered Aircraft Maintenance, Ground Handling, Customer Service within Switzerland and internationally as well as computerised solutions for Airlines and equipment maintenance. SAirServices were dissolved after the SAirGroup collapsed, and most of the formerly owned companes found a new owner.
Swissport was Swissair's Ground Handling Operator, and operated worldwide for Swissair and Third Party Airlines.
Until 1996 the company had operated under the name "Swissair Ground Services" at Zurich, Geneva and Basle airports for over 40 years. In 1996 Swissport International Limited became part of the SAirServices division, as a independent ground handling company within the SAirGroup. Since then Swissport has grown internationally. For a complete overview of the growth see Swissport's history.
In 2002 Swissport was taken over by Candover, and continued its expansion under the new owners. Also, a new logo was introduced. In 2005 Swissport was taken over by the spanish ferrovial Group.

With the collapse of Swissair and the end of the SAir Group in 2001, SR Technics was transferred to new ownership in December 2002. Now majority-owned by finance investors 3i plc, Star Capital, other finance partners, and its own management, SR Technics has become the largest independent (non-OEM and non-airline-owned) provider of highest quality technical services for civil aircraft, engines and components.
Formation of the SR Technics group of companies
In 2002, a holding structure was created, and SR Technics was transformed into SR Technics Switzerland, opening up the gateway for expansion and inter-national development to support our planned growth.
One of the major MRO sector deals in 2004 was the acquisition of FLS Industries‘ MRO activities in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The new SR Technics group of SR Technics Switzerland, SR Technics Ireland Limited and SR Technics UK Limited has created the largest independent high quality technical solutions provider in the world with capabilities covering most Airbus and Boeing aircraft types.Today, the group has core strengths in both Boeing and Airbus civil aircraft, components and engines technical services, and strong customer bases in Europe and Asia both in the low cost carrier and full-service carrier segments. ProHotel was a Laundry Service responsible for Laundry within the SAirGroup...
Founded in 1970 as ProHotel Wäscherei AG by Swissair, Swissôtel, Hotel Atlantis and Hotel International. The Goal was a centralised Laundry Service, where affiliated companies no longer had their own Laundry, but rather 'rented' them from ProHotel. ProHotel still exists to this day and can be visited on their website at www.prohotel.ch.
