Swissair was the founding member of the Qualiflyer frequent flyer programme. What started as a frequent Flyer Program of Swissair, Austrian and Crossair lateron expanded and became the leading european alliance, the Qualiflyer Group. Swissair stayed in the Qualiflyer Group until 2002, when it went bankrupt.

Swissair stopped flying in March 2002 and ceased to exist as an airline.
